A very valuable part of
the COMPACT program package is a set of carefully chosen illustrative examples ranging from heat conduction to combustion chambers to heat exchangers. The 2D and 3D programs
each come with 25 example problems. Whereas some examples are completely based on the preprocessor, the others illustrate the introduction of special features (e.g., nonlinear
boundary conditions, additional transport processes, body forces, customized output, etc.) via the Adaptation routine. As you become familiar with the structure of the COMPACT
programs, you will be able to build a variety of advanced Adaptations of your interest.
