MacroFlow for General Flow Systems


Performance of complex engineering systems involving flow and heat transfer is governed by the interaction of the fluid dynamic and thermal behavior of individual components. MacroFlow uses the Flow Network Modeling (FNM) technique for a quick and accurate prediction of the thermo-fluid behavior of the entire system that is critical for system-level design. MacroFlow has an intuitive and easy-to-use Graphical User Interface (GUI) for network quick network construction, solution control, and examination of results. With MacroFlow, you can conduct rapid and accurate parametric studies of designs and identify performance-limiting components. MacroFlow will reduce the design cycle by enabling rapid evaluation of design alternatives. Use of MacroFlow provides significant productivitygains in the design complex gas and liquid flow systems encountered in a variety applications such as process industries, intake exhaust, and cooling systems in automotive applications, HAVC systems, and irrigation systems. It is particularly well suited for the design of gas and liquid delivery systems in Semiconductor Processing.

Version 2.9 of MacroFlow incorporates a number of enhancements in the user interface, component library, and fluid property database to enable easier construction of network models and to allow analysis of a wider variety of complex gas and liquid flow systems. Productivity of the flow and thermal design process is further enhanced by including component databases from leading vendors of Gas Filters (Entegris, Mott Corporation), Heat Exchangers (Lytron), Cold Plates (Lytron), Quick Disconnects (Eaton Aeroquip), Fans (Comair Rotron), Air Filters (Universal Air Filter), and by providing facilities to extend these databases with user-defined characteristics.
