An increase in the plenum height reduces the horizontal air velocity, and hence the pressure variation, in the plenum.
Consequently, an increase in plenum height makes the airflow distribution more uniform. The airflow distribution for the present layout is shown in the following figure. A comparison with these results with
those for Case 1 shows that the current distribution is more uniform.
